University Standing Committees and Task Forces
University Standing Committees — Section ICommittees whose membership is recommended to the President by the Committee on University Committees.
University Standing Committees — Section IICommittees whose membership is appointed by the President, elected, or composed by other means. Unless specified by an asterisk (*), recommendations for membership on these committees will be approved by the Committee on Committees, and these committees will be included in the faculty/staff committee preference survey. The criteria for designation as a Section II Committee include:
University Standing Committees — Section IIITo improve communication and coordination between and among units, the University has created a number of Administrative and/or Coordinating Councils. These Councils play an important role in the execution and development of policy. Because of their importance in day-to-day operations of the University, liaison relationships have been established between many of these Councils and appropriate Standing Committees and well as the Faculty Senate. The Provost/Academic Vice President meets regularly with the Faculty Senate President to discuss the agenda and conclusions of the Dean's Council. The Councils supplement the role of Standing Committees in the formulation of policy.
